A music video of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s song Magic featuring the popular Norwegian dance group Quick Style was dropped by Coke Studio Bharat on Friday to open the second season of the music series.

The music video features the 40-year-old singer — known for songs like G.O.A.T., Lemonade and Peaches — rocking an oversized black graphic shirt and a red turban as he grooves to the beats of his latest composition capturing the enchanting effect of love.

Billed as a depiction of “the moment of your first infatuation, the moment of falling in love through the depth of your eyes with your universe rendered listless”, the song revolves around the story of a man losing all control after falling in love.

The lyrics for the song have been penned by Channi Nattan, while Inderpal Mega serves as the music composer.

Quick Style members appear in the music video in black jackets and dance to the beats of the Punjabi track.

The dance group gained immense popularity on social media after their recreation of the Kala Chashma song from the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho in 2022. The troupe visited India in 2023 and shook a leg with several Indian celebrities including Raveena Tandon and Virat Kohli.

As per the official YouTube channel of Coke Studio India, the music series is an experiment in fusion which “celebrates cultures coming together and boundaries blurring”.

While Season 1 of the show featured artistes like Aditya Gadhvi, Jasleen Royal, Amira Gill, Maithili Thakur and Ravi Kishan, Season 2 will reportedly showcase songs by Shreya Ghoshal, Neha Kakkar and Digvijay Singh, in addition to Diljit.

Diljit’s last music video Hass Hass, in which he collaborated with Australian singer-songwriter Sia, has over 70 million views on YouTube.

Diljit has appeared in a number of Hindi and Punjabi films, including Udta Punjab (2016) and Good Newwz (2019).
