Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is set to appear as a guest on NBC’s The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon this week, he announced on Tuesday.
“Panjabi aagye oyee. This Week’s Guest. @jimmyfallon @fallontonight @nbc. Bhangra hun mainstream pena. Proper hollywood,” the 40-year-old singer wrote on Instagram.
The Amar Singh Chamkila star has shared a guestlist for the week on Jimmy Fallon’s popular chat show. Actors Eddie Murphy, Kevin Costner and The Bear star Matty Matheson will also be attending the show this week.
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan took to the comments section and congratulated the singer. Little Things actress Mithila Palkar dropped a fire emoji. “Can’t wait to see Jimmy Fallon speaking in Punjabi,” a fan commented.
Diljit is currently on a global music tour named the Dil-Luminati Tour, which kicked off on April 27 in Vancouver and will conclude on July 13 in Toronto.
The singer has performed in Vancouver, Illinois, Chicago, California and other cities in North America.
Diljit recently played the role of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, the highest record-selling Indian artiste of the 1980s, in a biopic film directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie, which hit Netflix on April 12, also features Parineeti Chopra.
The Hass Hass singer is set to star in an upcoming Punjabi film titled Jatt and Juliet 3, slated to hit theatres on June 27.
