Dibakar Banerjee’s romance-drama film Love Sex Aur Dhoka 2 is now streaming on Netflix nearly two months after its April 19 theatrical premiere, the streaming platform announced on its official Instagram handle on Friday.
“Buckle up for a rollercoaster ride. Watch #LoveSexAurDhokha2 now on Netflix!" reads the caption on the post with a graphic image of the human heart carrying icons of social media platforms.
Released on April 19, the film is a sequel to the 2010 critically acclaimed film Love Sex Aur Dhoka featuring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
LSD 2, explores the theme of 'love in the times of the internet' expanding through the complexities of modern relationships and self-discovery in the high-tech age, explored through interwoven tales of love, friendship, and identity.
Despite its intriguing premise, the sequel opened to a lackluster reception in theaters, earning a mere Rs 15 lakh on its opening day. The film ultimately proved to be a box-office disappointment.
The film stars Paritosh Tiwari, Bonita Rajpurohit and Abhinav Singh in the lead. It also features Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor, Uorfi Javed, Anu Malik, Swastika Mukherjee and Sophie Choudry in cameo roles.
Backed by Ektaa R Kapoor, the film clashed with Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D'Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy’s romcom Do Aur Do Pyaar at the box office.
