Actress Dia Mirza shared previously unseen photos from her 2021 wedding with businessman Vaibhav Rekhi on Thursday to mark their third wedding anniversary.

In the four photos, Dia is seen wearing a red silk sari with a red wedding chunni and heavily-gemmed jewellery. Vaibhav was dressed for the occasion in white. He wore a white Nehru jacket over a white kurta-and-pyjama set along with a beige turban.

“On this day we cried copiously. Tears of joy and gratitude. May we continue to hold each other in our darkest hours, laugh, love and value the miracles of life. Thank you baby for every single sunrise and sunset we have shared ☀️❤️🐯Happy Anniversary Husband,” the 42-year-old actress wrote alongside the throwback pictures.

Dia can be seen sporting a beaming smile as she holds Vaibhav’s hand in the first photo. The second photo shows Vaibhav waiting for his soon-to-be wife to arrive. Embracing ahead of their ceremony, the couple can be seen sharing a tender moment in the third picture. The final photo shared by Dia shows the couple walking off hand in hand under a shower of rose petals.

Following their wedding, Dia had been open about how she ensured her wedding was an environment-friendly one. From hosting the event in the garden of her home to ensuring no-food wastage and a plastic free ceremony, the couple made sustainable fashion choices. Dia shared that she had auctioned off her wedding outfit from her first marriage. However, the couple chose wedding attires that they could re-wear this time.

Dia, who recently starred in Dhak Dhak, had kept her relationship with Vaibhav private. Having divorced her husband of five-years Sahil Sangha in 2019, Dia reportedly started seeing Vaibhav in 2020. The couple tied the knot in 2021.

Months after the wedding in April 2021, Dia announced her pregnancy. The actress gave birth to her son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi in July 2021. Aside from their son with Dia, Vaibhav has a daughter from his previous marriage.
