Dia Mirza on Friday thanked IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack director Anubhav Sinha in a note on Instagram, sharing her experience of working with him on the sets of the Netflix series.
“I have been writing this caption in my head for a few days now… still struggling to find the words to describe what it means to work with @anubhavsinhaa,” Dia wrote on Instagram alongside behind-the-scenes pictures with Anubhav from the sets of the show.
Thanking the filmmaker for giving her the opportunity to play a news editor in the drama, Dia said, “My anubhav (experience) of working with this man has always been so gratifying. Thank you thank you for empowering me Sinha Saab. It is a privilege being a part of your storytelling ️.”
“It’s rare to be able to do what he does. To balance the many narratives he does, so judiciously, ably, gently, kindly, intelligently… emotionally,” the Dhak Dhak actress added.

Also starring Amrita Puri, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Pooja Gor, Anupam Tripathi, Kanwaljit Singh, Aditya Srivastava, Sushant Singh and Yashpal Sharma, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is currently streaming on Netflix.
Dia’s 2001 romantic drama Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, also starring R. Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan, re-released for a week in PVR and Inox theatres across India on August 30.
