The makers of Dhanush’s upcoming epic fantasy Telugu film Kubera unveiled a new poster featuring the actor on his 41st birthday on Sunday.
“Happy Birthday to the phenomenal @dhanushkraja sir! Here’s to more groundbreaking performances and unforgettable moments in #SekharKammulasKubera,” they wrote on Instagram.
Kubera is Dhanush's 51st film, which was announced in March. “On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, we unveil the First Look and Motion Poster of #Kubera. Witness this man stirring up the proceedings in theatres soon,” wrote the makers in the announcement post on social media.
Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, Jim Sarabh and Sundeep Kishan, Kubera began production earlier this year. The story depicts the legend of Kubera, the wealthiest deity in Hinduism.
Set to release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Kubera marks the first collaboration between director Sekhar Kammula and Dhanush, with a slated release date in December this year. It also marks the actor’s debut in Telugu cinema.
Dhanush’s latest film Raayan, released on July 26, is nearing Rs 50 crore in India and is also performing well globally.
