Jr NTR appears in a double role to face off against Saif Ali Khan’s formidable gangster in the action-packed trailer of Koratala Siva’s Devara Part 1, sparking anticipation for the action drama slated to hit the theatres on September 27.

Dropped by the makers on Tuesday, the two-minute-39-second-long trailer kicks off by introducing Saif’s character Bhaira, a gang leader and wrestling champion whose dominance in a coastal town is threatened by Devara (Jr NTR). Bhaira’s primary goal is to overthrow Devara and establish himself as the most feared force in the region.

Soon we are introduced to Devara’s son Vara, also portrayed by Jr NTR. Unlike Devara, Vara is introduced as a man who is mild-mannered and harmless. “He only got his dad’s looks, not his courage,” quips Janhvi Kapoor’s character in the trailer.

However, as the trailer unfolds, we see that Vara is forced to enter the fighting arena that he once feared. It culminates in a series of high-octane sequences, with a larger-than-life action scene of Jr NTR flying out of the water on the back of a shark.

Also starring Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Murali Sharma in key roles, Devara Part 1 is backed by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts.

Marking the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor, the action drama will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
