Netflix has dropped stills of Devara stars Janhvi Kapoor, Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan from the sets of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 ahead of its Episode 2 premiere at 8pm today. Here’s a look.
Host Kapil Sharma engaged Janhvi in an amusing game during the show. A teaser released earlier this week shows Janhvi getting candid about the relationship between her parents Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. The actress plays Thangam, Jr. NTR’s love interest in Devara: Part 1, which hit theatres on September 27.
Jr. NTR was left in stitches by the show’s comic routines. He plays a dual role in Devara — the titular character and his son Vara. Devara: Part 1, which marks Janhvi’s Telugu film debut, earned around Rs 77 crore at the domestic box office on its first day.
Saif, who plays Bhaira in Devara, performed a dance number on the Netflix chat show. The actor looked dapper in a crisp beige suit. The teaser for the second episode shows Saif and Jr. NTR gushing about the aura of the late Sridevi, who is Janhvi’s mum.
Janhvi looked gorgeous in a beaded white ensemble. The 27-year-old actress is set to star opposite Varun Dhawan in Dharma Productions’ upcoming romcom Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Krushna Abhishek’s portrayal of Rajmata left Team Devara in splits in the latest teaser of the show. The teaser also provides a glimpse of Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Archana Puran Singh.
Sunil’s witty remark about Telugu cinema’s penchant for VFX adds to the humour. In 2017, the actor had left Kapil’s previous show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, following a mid-air altercation with the latter. However, they have reconciled since then.
The first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 premiered on Netflix on September 21. It featured Jigra stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina as guests. They were joined by filmmaker-producer Karan Johar.
