Telugu actioner Devara Part 1 starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan raked in Rs 304 crore gross in the first three days since its release, according to the makers of the film.

According to Sacnilk, Devara Part 1 earned Rs 160.6 crore nett in India in the first three days. It earned Rs 82.5 crore nett on Friday, followed by Rs 38.2 crore nett on Saturday. On Sunday, the collections jumped by 5 per cent to gross Rs 40 crore nett domestically.
The Telugu version of Devara contributed the largest share (Rs 128.5 crore nett) in the earnings, followed by the Hindi version (Rs 27 crore nett) and the Tamil version (Rs 3 crore nett). The Kannada and Malayalam versions amassed Rs 1 crore nett and Rs 0.9 crore nett, respectively. Trade experts suggest the collections on Monday will decide the box-office fate of the film.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1 not only performed well domestically but also managed to surpass some major Hollywood releases worldwide. According to Comscore, Devara Part 1 achieved the second-highest global box office collection for the weekend, grossing USD 32.93 million across the globe, trailing only behind the animated adventure The Wild Robot, which grossed USD 44 million.
The Jr NTR-starrer also outpaced other big-budget Hollywood films like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (which earned USD 29 million) and Transformers One (which brought in USD 25 million).
Devara Part 1 marks Jr NTR return to the big screen following the global success of RRR. With this movie, which also marks Janhvi’s Telugu debut, Jt NTR reunites with Koratala Siva after Janatha Garage (2016).
Devara Part 1 is set in the Ratnagiri hills on the Andhra-Tamil Nadu border in a coastal region adjacent to the Red Sea. The story revolves around clans that help smugglers evade the coast guard and bring arms into the country. Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan play the leaders of two such clans who fall out over controlling the trade.
