The makers of Jr NTR-starrer Devara dropped the first-look teaser of Saif Ali Khan’s character Bhaira on the actor’s 54th birthday on Friday.

“His presence is a celebration of havoc. The hunt will be more brutal than ever,” wrote the makers alongside a short video that begins with Bhaira strangling his opponent in a wrestling match.

The video ends with Saif’s main antagonist performing an ominous dance with his followers.

A teaser released earlier this year featured Jr NTR in a vengeful avatar, hacking and chopping pirates with a curved sword on the shore of the Red Sea. “This sea has witnessed more swords and blood than fish. No wonder they call it the Red Sea,” says the actor at the end of the video.

Devara marks Janhvi Kapoor’s Telugu cinema debut. The film features her as Jr NTR’s love interest. The recently released Dheere Dheere track, which offers a glimpse of their crackling on-screen chemistry, has already surpassed 21 million views on YouTube since its August 5 premiere.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara will be released in two parts. The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, while R. Rathnavelu has handled the cinematography for the film.

Devara Part 1 will be released on September 27 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Koratala Siva and Jr NTR have previously collaborated on Brindavanam, Oosaravelli and Janatha Garage. The RRR actor is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan.
