Actress Deepika Padukone gave a shoutout to Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas on Wednesday, sharing a video of the latter’s live performance of the 2023 song Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife) with King at this year’s Lollapalooza music festival in Mumbai.

The Fighter actress tagged the singers and Nick’s wife Priyanka Chopra alongside the video posted on her Instagram story. “So cool,” the 38-year-old actress captioned the video.

The video shows Nick and King walking down the aisle of the Lollapalooza stage while performing the song which they collaborated on last year. While Nick was clad in an oversized printed shirt and trousers, Indian rapper King sported a white blazer with a black printed scarf wrapped around his neck.

The audience could not contain their excitement when Nick sang the Hindi chorus of the song which starts with “Tu Maan Meri Jaan”. King, who sang the original song for his 2022 album Champagne Talk, joined Nick by singing and grooving on stage.

Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife) marked the first collaboration between King and Nick. The song is a reimagining of King’s Maan Meri Jaan, with catchy beats and peppy tunes.

King, who rose to fame with Maan Meri Jaan back in 2022, also shared a video of their performance on Instagram and wrote, “The night is going in music history books for real ✍🏽.”

Nick’s band The Jonas Brothers, consisting of his brothers Kevin and Joe, performed in India at Lollapalooza which took place in Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 27 and 28. Kevin introduced Nick as “Jiju (brother-in-law)” to the audience as he is married to Priyanka, making fans chant “Jiju, jiju” to greet the pop singer.

Priyanka, who was present at the venue, recorded the audience’s reaction and shared it on her Instagram stories.

Deepika has shared the screen with Priyanka in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2015 period film Bajirao Mastani alongside Ranveer Singh.

The actress recently starred in Siddharth Anand’s aerial-action film Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan. Also starring Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi, Fighter marks Deepika’s second collaboration with Siddharth after last year’s Pathaan in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The film released in theatres on January 25.
