Deepika Padukone will be one of the presenters at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards, scheduled to be held at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London on February 18, the actress has posted on her Instagram stories.
Sharing a screenshot from the official BAFTA website which shows the names of the 27 presenters, Deepika simply wrote “Gratitude”. However, the category in which the actress will present the award has not been announced yet.
The other presenters in the BAFTA list include David Beckham, Andrew Scott, Dua Lipa, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Grant, Callum Turner, Daisy Edgar Jones, Emma Mackey and Taylor Russell. Emily in Paris star Lily Collins, Bridgerton actress Adjoa Andoh, Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson from The Crown and Himesh Patel from Black Mirror will also present trophies at 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.
All of Us Strangers, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie and Killers of The Flower Moon are among the movies contesting in the Best Film category at the BAFTA awards. Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest have also received nominations.
While Andrew Scott, who recently starred in All of Us Strangers alongside Paul Mescal, has received nods for leading actor, Emma Stone has been nominated for leading actress alongside Lily Gladstone, Greta Lee and Annette Bening.
Deepika, who was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan, had previously presented the Best Original Song award at 2023’s Oscars for Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli’s 2022 film RRR.
