Mum-to-be Deepika Padukone flaunted her baby bump in a black column dress during a pre-release event for Nag Ashwin Reddy’s upcoming dystopian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Sharing a bunch of pictures on Instagram, production house Vyjayanthi Movies wrote, “Relive the excitement of the #Kalki2898AD pre-release event with these clicks.”

A couple of pictures show Deepika standing on the stage in a ribbed cross halter dress and stiletto pumps.

Dewy makeup and a messy pony with loose strands of hair framing the face complemented Deepika’s look. The 38-year-old actress opted for red manicured nails and minimal accessories to complete her look.

The actress was joined by her co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas on stage.

Another picture shows them seated together during a panel discussion.

The makers shared a candid picture of Deepika, Prabhas and Amitabh sharing a moment of laughter.

The event was also attended by director Nag Ashwin. A set of pictures shared by the makers show Prabhas and Amitabh helping Deepika to climb down the stage.

Both Prabhas and Amitabh sported black outfits, while Haasan looked dapper in a crisp white suit.

Deepika also shared her monochrome stills on Instagram, flaunting her baby bump. “Okay enough…Now I am hungry,” she wrote alongside the photos.

Kalki 2898 AD will feature Prabhas as a bounty hunter. Amitabh plays Ashwatthama, the immortal son of Drona from the Mahabharata. Deepika portrays a pregnant woman, while Kamal Haasan essays the role of a seer in the film.

The film also features Tollywood actor Saswata Chatterjee as a despot and Disha Patani as Roxie.

Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music composer of Kalki 2898 AD, while the cinematography is done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.

Deepika and Ranveer had announced their pregnancy in March, shortly after the Pathaan actress attended BAFTA 2024 as a presenter. The actor couple had shared an image of baby clothing and balloons on Instagram with ‘September 2024’ written across it, suggesting that they are expecting their first child in September.

Deepika and Ranveer started dating each other on the sets of the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. They tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Lake Como in Italy.

Deepika was last seen in Siddharth Anand's aerial actioner Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan. Her other upcoming projects include Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3.
