The halter-neck Manish Malhotra gown that Model-host Heidi Klum wore to Mufasa: The Lion King premiere in Los Angeles was adorned with over 1 lakh pearls and crystals, making for a unique, multilayered ensemble, the Indian couturier revealed recently.
Klum could not stop twirling in the chic pearl-studded dress from Malhotra’s World Collection: Dubai line, which featured a halter-neck, fringe and backless design. Multilayered pearls cascaded down the length of the gown, adding a bit of drama to the ensemble, while a thigh-high slit raised the glamour quotient.
A pair of silver heels and diamond earrings completed her look. She kept her straight hair open, opted for smokey eyes and nude lips, and added a pop of colour to her cheeks with a tinge of blush.

Manish’s pearl ensembles have also captivated Bollywood beauties in the past. In October, Khushi Kapoor stunned in a pearl-embellished and backless mini dress, similar to Klum’s outfit. The Archies actress paired her dress with a matching handbag and heels. She kept her makeup simple and dewy, with smokey eyes and brown lipstick. Her sleek bun added a touch of elegance to her look as she effortlessly exuded radiance in the pearl-encrusted dress.

Manish has been making waves lately with his outfits for Hollywood stars like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian, and jewellery for global pop sensation Rihanna.
Manish is also currently working on his third production venture Ul Jalool Ishq starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi. Penned and helmed by Vibhu Puri Dehalvi, the film began production on January 9.
