Dear Vaappi

Muzik 247 dropped the teaser of its upcoming Malayalam-language drama film Dear Vaappi on Friday. Written and directed by Shan Thulaseedharan, the film stars Lal, Anagha Narayanan and Niranj Mainyanpilla Raju in the lead roles.

The two-minute-two-second-long teaser starts with a man talking to his daughter about his childhood dream and struggle of becoming a tailor. The daughter, on the other hand, is trying to make her father’s dream a reality.

Mr Bachelor

Trailer of the upcoming Kannada-language romantic comedy film Mr Bachelor was released by Jhankar Music on Friday. Directed by Naidu Bandar, the film stars Darling Krishna, Nimika Ratnakar, Milana Nagaraj, Chikkanna and Sadhu Kokila.

In the two-minute-22-second-long trailer, we meet a man who is desperate to get married but is rejected by all the girls he approaches. He then falls in love with a girl but he has to foil the plans of the villain in order to save her life.

Mr Bachelor will arrive in theatres on January 6.

Drishyam 2

Ajay Devgn-and-Tabu-starrer Drishyam 2 is now available for rent on Prime Video, the streaming platform announced on Friday. A follow-up to the 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, the new film follows the story of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay) and his family. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film also stars Rajat Kapoor, Shriya Saran and Akshay Khanna.

Drishyam 2 became one of the highest-grossing films of 2022 by collecting over Rs 300 crores at the box office and is still running in theatres. “Time to pick up where we left off Drishyam 2 now available on #PrimeVideoStore, rent now,” Prime Video tweeted.

Gold

Prime Video on Friday dropped the trailer of Alphonse Puthren’s Malayalam-language crime-comedy film Gold. It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in the lead roles alongside Mallika Sukumaran, Shammi Thilakan, Lalu Alex, Baburaj, Ajmal Ameer, Shanthi Krishna, Jagadish, Krishna Sankar, Roshan Mathew and Vinay Forrt. The film was released in theatres on December 1.

Gold is currently streaming on Prime Video.
