Post-production work for the upcoming MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine is complete, Ryan Reynolds announced on Wednesday alongside a picture with director Shawn Levy.
“And that's all she wrote for post-production. Feels like a million years of work went by in a blink. Sitting next to this guy [director Shawn Levy] made it all so sweet...hard to walk away,” Reynolds, who plays the titular character in the Deadpool films, wrote on his Instagram Story.
In the picture, we can see the rear profiles of Reynolds and Levy discussing the film on the sets.
“Sad it’s over. But can't wait to show you what we made together,” Levy wrote, resharing Reynold’s post.
The trailer dropped by the makers in April revealed that Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will team up against Charles Xavier’s evil twin Cassandra Nova in the upcoming film.
“Found the guy who killed Bambi’s mom,” Reynolds wrote in the description of the trailer shared on YouTube.
Deadpool & Wolverine also stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni. The film is written by Reynolds in collaboration with Levy, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Zeb Wells.
The Red Notice actor shared a fresh poster of the film on May 20. In the poster, the two mutants can be seen coming face to face with each other, with Deadpool wielding his gun and Wolverine stretching out his claws.
Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to hit theatres worldwide on July 26.
