Deadpool & Wolverine earns over Rs 8 crore through advance booking in India

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s much-anticipated MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine, helmed by Shawn Levy, has already sold over 2.7 lakh tickets in India ahead of its July 26 release, according to industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk.

Deadpool & Wolverine sold approximately 2,77,903 tickets as of 9.45am on July 25, collecting almost Rs 8.04 crore gross.

The English 3D version of the movie has sold the most tickets (1,24,607) followed by the Hindi 3D version (52,050). While the English 3D version generated a gross collection of Rs 3.9 crore, the Hindi 3D version contributed Rs 0.85 crore. The English IMAX 3D version of Deadpool & Wolverine raked in Rs 1.45 crore gross for a sale of 12,821 tickets.

Among the states, Maharashtra led the way with a gross collection of Rs 1.63 crore, followed by Delhi (Rs 1.11 crore) and Tamil Nadu (Rs 1.27 crore).

Deadpool & Wolverine is on track to achieve the highest opening day collection for a Hollywood film in India this year. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire currently holds the title with a collection of Rs 13.25 crore nett.

The 34th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Deadpool and Wolverine continues the story from Deadpool 2 (2018). The film boasts a star-studded cast including Emma Corrin, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Tyler Mane, Shioli Kutsuna, T.J. Miller and Aaron Stanford.
