David and Goliath Films is helping budding singers reach out to the audience. After partnering with the Film Federation of India (FFI) in their online talent hunt initiative for aspiring actors from India and across the world, they have turned their focus on supporting and giving opportunities to new and upcoming singers.
The first one in this project is a love song that was released on December 10 on the YouTube channel of David and Goliath Films. The track Tera mera rishta has been sung and composed by 16-year-old Om (Ayushman Ghosh) with the help of Rishika Sarawagi (20) for the lyrics. The Tera Mera Rishta music video has been produced by David and Goliath Films, Lal Bhatia and Imran Zaki. The video clip has been creatively produced by Lal Bhatia and Indroneel Mukherjee. It stars Richa Sharma and Sean Banerjee. The music video was conceptualised by 19-year-old Aashna Sharma. The music video’s story and screenplay was written and directed by Soumojit Adak.
Lal Bhatia, chairman of David and Goliath Films, said: “Music in all its forms and types is an exquisite art. It is the universal language of love and respect. It holds the power to wash away the stress and anxiety of your day-to-day struggles. There are countless people with exceptional talents out there making tremendous efforts to make it as a singer. Our one-of-a-kind initiative is open to all who feel that they have the talent.”

Richa Sharma, who is the brand ambassador of David and Goliath and stars in the video, said: “Om is an extremely talented kid and I know him through Soma (his mother). When D&G heard him, they promised to work with him seeing his potential. It was really nice to share screen space with Sean... he is very sincere and our on-screen chemistry is being loved and appreciated by everyone. We had done photo shoots earlier. Indroneel was extremely helpful and creative as always. My daughter Aashna came up with this beautiful concept. I am sure people would love it.”
Her co-actor Sean said: “All the cast and crew were like family. I had worked with them earlier as well. This was a very special project. The producers, Mr Bhatia and Mr Zaki, are my mentors and I learnt a lot from them. It was a wonderful experience working with Richa ma’am. I hope people like our on-screen chemistry. The best part was this initiative by Mr Bhatia and Mr Zaki to promote budding artistes. I must say that Om, who has sung here, has an incredible voice.”
“We want to create an industry of independent artistes that competes alongside Bollywood. Although an aspiring singer may face several challenges when they start, it brings great compensation when one finally gets where they strive to be. All a singer needs to do is make patience their weapon, trust their abilities and make a substantial effort and soon they can find themselves succeeding. Tera Mera Rishta is a testament to that endeavour,” said Bhatia.
