Coke Studio Bangla Season 2 is back with yet another magical composition — Darale Duaarey. It is a melodious ghazal penned and composed by Kazi Nazrul Islam, which has been sung by Mukul Mojumder Ishaan and Sanzida Mahmood Nandita, both from Bangladesh. The music has been arranged by Shuvendu Das and Shayan Chowdhury (who is also the curator and producer for Coke Studio Bangla).

Nazrul Islam, also known as the ‘Rebel Poet’, has left a vast body of songs composed on love; Darale Duaarey is one such. The music video captures the love and longing of a man and a woman, singing about the spell that each has cast on the other.

Darale Duaarey is Ishaan’s debut performance in Coke Studio Bangla. Nandita had sung the popular number Bulbuli in the first season, along with Rituraj Baidya. The softness in Ishaan’s voice complements Nandita’s melody.

The sarangi, played by Shounak Debnath Wreek, is a highlight of the music arrangement. Shrestha Sarkar’s dance recital, choreographed by Snata Shahrin, blends into the backdrop.

The festival of Eid is the theme for the set design of the music video. All the artists are dressed in white, and the white ceiling lamps add a soothing touch.
