If you are a K-drama fan, there’s a treat lined up for you in November. Various streaming platforms have dropped new shows, starring much-loved stars like Park Bo-young of Strong Girl Nam-soon and Park Eun-bin of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Here's a look.

Daily Dose of Sunshine

Jung Da Eun (Park Bo-young) works as a nurse in the neuropsychiatry section of a hospital. Since this is her first time working in this department, Jung faces a lot of challenges. While navigating the ups and downs of caring for mentally ill patients, she is faced with the truth about psychiatric issues — ‘it's a sickness, not a sin’. Jung is kind and dedicated and goes on to become a ‘daily dose of sunshine’ in the lives of her patients. Helmed by Korean horror series All of Us Are Dead director Lee Jae-kyoo, this K-drama is perfect if you're in the mood for something wholesome, heartwarming and meaningful.

Castaway Diva

If you are feeling worn out by the trials and tribulations of life, try this Robinson Crusoe-esque story with a modern take on life. Released at the end of October, Netflix will drop most of Castaway Diva’s new episodes in November. The K-drama follows the story of Seo Mok-Ha (Park Eun-bin), who returns to modern society after 15 years of being stranded on a deserted island. Remarkably, she had managed to survive in isolation for a decade and a half. However, for Seo, the challenge of being rescued from her solitary existence is only the beginning as she now faces the daunting task of adapting to the complexities of modern society.

Vigilante

Nam Joo-Hyuk plays a ‘dark hero created by the world’ in Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming K-drama series Vigilante. As a child, Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo-Hyuk) lost his mother, who was beaten to death on the streets. Now, as an adult, Kim finds the man who had killed his mother leading a free life, having served only a few years’ jail term, and continuing with his life of crime. Kim takes matters into his hands, dons a black hoodie and beats him brutally. Soon, he begins to lead a double life — as a student training at the police university on weekdays and as a vigilante on weekends punishing criminals who have gone scot-free until now.

Moon in the Day

Based on a webtoon series by Hye Yoom and directed by Pyo Min Soo and Park Chan Yool, Moon in the Day revolves around Han Joon Oh (Kim Young Dae), a celebrity who struggles with an inferiority complex despite his striking looks and height. After one of his public service video shoots goes terribly wrong, Han experiences a near-fatal car crash. He is saved by the quick response of a female firefighter, Kang Young Hwa (Pyo Ye Jin). Recognising her skills, Han's representatives hire her as his personal bodyguard.

Han undergoes a profound transformation after regaining consciousness during his hospital stay. His body becomes possessed by the spirit of an ancient Korean nobleman named Do Ha, seeking revenge against his wife Han Ri Ta for murdering him.

Secret Playlist

Imagine a college girl, who keeps her side job as a music YouTuber under wraps, meeting a member of a popular boy band. Now, imagine them having a secret romance.

Hanju (Kim Hyang Gi) is a typical college student and a rising YouTube cover artist going by the name of PLII. After Levi (Shin Hyun Seung), a member of a popular boy band, becomes interested in collaborating with PLII, Hanju goes to great lengths to hide her real identity. However, as they get closer while working on a class project, Hanju's secret identity starts to slip.
