Actress Courteney Cox penned a note for Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston on the latter’s 55th birthday on Sunday, sharing pictures of them together and a clip of her favourite scene from the American sitcom.
“Not sure why this is one of my favourite clips… I guess it’s because nobody else in the world could make this line sound so cute,” the 59-year-old actress wrote on Instagram on Monday alongside the pictures and video.
Cox also lovingly addressed Aniston as Jenny Louise in her note. “Happy Birthday my sweet Jenny Louise. Also don’t know why I call her that…but I sure do love you,” she wrote.
The first picture shows the actresses in strapless evening gowns during the 1990s, while they are seen pouting for a selfie in the second picture. In her post, Cox also included a clip from Friends, where Rachel (Aniston) is complaining to Chandler (Matthew Perry) about Monica (Courteney) breaking her lamp.
Aniston, who recently starred in Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2 alongside Adam Sandler, took a walk down memory lane, reminiscing about times spent with her Friends co-stars, family and loved ones in a heartfelt Instagram post.
The actress posted a video showing her journey of being an actor. It begins with a scene from Friends where Rachel celebrates her 30th birthday reluctantly as she does not want to grow older. She also shared her childhood photos and other pictures from recent photoshoots.
“Grateful,” the 55-year-old actress wrote in the caption before including a poem titled The Layers by Stanley Kunitz.
Florence Pugh, Rita Wilson and Dermot Mulroney also wished Aniston on her special day.
