British rock band Coldplay launched their 10th studio album Moon Music on Friday as part of their Music of the Spheres project. The songs are available for streaming on all music platforms.

In Moon Music, Coldplay’s lead vocalist Chris Martin and bandmates Jonny Buckland (guitar), Will Champion (drums) and Guy Berryman (bass) continue their tradition of blending introspective lyrics with uplifting anthems.

The lead single, feelslikeimfallinginlove, is a track that embodies the emotional gravity of love and offers Coldplay’s trademark soaring choruses. The band experiments with new ideas in follow-up tracks All My Love and We Pray. We Pray stands out as a star-studded collaboration featuring Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and TINI.

Among the album’s highlights are two more collaborations — Ayra Starr lends her vocals to Good Feelings, while electronic artist Jon Hopkins joins the title track Moon Music.

Martin recently shocked fans during an interview on Apple Music with Zane Lowe. He shared that Coldplay will retire from recording new music after their 12th studio album.

“There are only seven Harry Potters. There’s only 12 and a half Beatles albums. There’s about the same for Bob Marley. Having that limit means that the quality control is high right now, and for a song to make it, it’s almost impossible, which is great,” Martin said.

Coldplay is set to bring their Music of the Spheres World Tour to India in 2025, with three performances in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21. This will mark the band’s return to the country after eight years. Their last performance was at the Global Citizen Festival in 2016.

However, the upcoming concert has been mired in controversy. Mumbai police have recorded the statement of the chief operating officer of the online ticketing platform BookMyShow in relation to a complaint alleging ticket scalping.
