Actors Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch will be reprising their roles as Navy SEAL officers James Reece and Ben Edwards, respectively, in new Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel to the 2022 naval thriller show The Terminal List, the streaming platform announced on Thursday.
“From the Producers of #TheTerminalList and NYT Bestselling author @jackcarrusa–introducing THE TERMINAL LIST: DARK WOLF, a prequel series featuring Ben Edwards and James Reece. Production begins early this year,” the streamer wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the upcoming series.
Pratt, known for playing Peter Quill aka Star Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies, had announced last year that a second season to the action thriller series is on the cards. The 44-year-old actor shared a poster of the new series which mentioned that he will be reprising his role as Reece and Kitsch as Edwards.
“Exciting news, everyone! I'm thrilled to announce that I have the honour of reprising my role as James Reece and executive producing TWO new @jackcarrusa Terminal List projects with @primevideo. First, the highly anticipated second season of the smash hit, The Terminal List,” he wrote.
Mentioning that the new series will have “more military authenticity and heart-pounding action”, Pratt also announced the production of the upcoming series.
“I'm also stoked to share that we’re making a Terminal List prequel, starring the talented Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards,” he wrote, adding that the prequel will take viewers deeper into Edward’s backstory as he makes the transition from Navy SEAL to ground branch CIA officer.
Adapted from Jack Carr’s bestselling novels of the same name, The Terminal List is centred on Navy SEAL Commander James Reece (Pratt) who finds out that his entire platoon has been ambushed and killed following a secret operation. Grappling with the shock and devastation, Reece returns home only to discover that there are dark forces waiting to attack him and endanger the ones he loves.
Driven by revenge, Reece embarks on a journey to find out the conspirators working against him who had murdered his team. While shocking truths slowly come to light, Reece finds himself in a difficult position to deal with the developments and lead a normal life as a civilian.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf will be backed by Max Adams, Kat Samick and Ronald Cosmo Vecchiarelli, who produced the first season.
