Hemsworth appeared on stage with Sheeran for an episode of his upcoming National Geographic and Disney+ series Limitless With Chris Hemsworth, slated to premiere in 2025.

In his video, Sheeran shared that Hemsworth had reached out to him last December to discuss his upcoming series on cognitive health. The Perfect singer mentioned that Hemsworth wanted to learn a musical instrument as part of the documentary and hoped to showcase his newfound talent in front of a large audience.

The Marvel actor joined Sheeran on stage at Romania’s National Arena with approximately 70,000 fans in attendance. Hemsworth, who portrays Thor in MCU movies, played the drum sequence for Sheeran’s 2014 song Thinking Out Loud. Reflecting on his performance, Hemsworth said that he has been thinking of this experience for a long time.

“A different way we can live better for longer: regenerating damage, maximizing strength, building resilience, shocking the body, supercharging memory and confronting mortality,” reads the synopsis of Hemsworth’s upcoming series, which will see the actor exploring issues like cognitive decline and social connection.

Sheeran is currently performing in different countries as part of his The Mathematics Tour, with upcoming concerts in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Brazil. Spanning across three continents with 89 shows, the tour started on April 23, 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, and is scheduled to end on September 8 in Larnaca, Cyprus.
