Chiranjeevi is all set to team up with Bimbisara director Mallidi Vassishta for an upcoming fantasy adventure, tentatively titled Mega 157, the film’s production house UV Creations announced on Tuesday, dropping the first poster on the occasion of the veteran actor’s 68th birthday.
Announcing the project on X (formerly Twitter), the production house known for creating films like Saaho (2019) and Radhe Shyam (2022), wrote, “This time, it's MEGA MASS BEYOND UNIVERSE. The five elements will unite for the ELEMENTAL FORCE called MEGASTAR ❤️. Happy Birthday to MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets Garu ❤️@DirVassishta @UV_Creations #HBDMegastarChiranjeevi.”
The poster throws hints at a VFX-heavy fantasy film. It showcases a star-shaped object with a trident embedded in the middle which encompasses the panchabhutas (the five elements of nature) — earth, water, fire, air and sky.
Mega 157 is touted as Chiranjeevi’s most expensive film till date. The actor was last seen in the film Bholaa Shankar, helmed by Meher Ramesh. It also starred Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles.
