A long-haired and heavily bearded Vicky Kaushal roars on the battlefield as Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and singlehandedly fights an army of enemies in the teaser of Chhaava, dropped by the actor on Monday.

The teaser opens with a striking visual of an army, led by Vicky’s character, advancing to battle the kingdom’s enemies. Clad in chest armour, with a sword in hand and headgear, Vicky charges forward on horseback, slaying the rival forces that culminates in a massacre at the fort. A powerful voice over resonates in the background, declaring, “Chhatrapati Shivaji ko sher kehte hain, aur sher ke bacche ko Chhaava,” as Vicky’s relentless battle unfolds in a series of intense and gruesome scenes.
