Chandu Champion, Kantara A Legend, Stree 2, Game Changer: Films slated to stream on Prime Video post theatrical run

The slate of films also includes Siva’s Kanguva starring Suriya, Pawan Kalyan-starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star

Prime Video’s 2024 content slate includes a slew of upcoming films that will digitally premiere on the platform following their theatrical run. From Kartik Aaryan-led Chandu Champion to Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend, here’s a look at some of the much-anticipated big-screen releases that will make their way to the streamer.

Topping the list is Chandu Champion, featuring Kartik Aaryan and directed by Kabir Khan. It narrated the incredible story of a man whose relentless determination and refusal to surrender resulted in India securing its inaugural individual Olympic gold.

Following suit is Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, which will also make its way to the streaming platform post its cinematic run. Additionally, the fourth chapter of the Baaghi franchise promises to enthrall audiences once again.

Shoojit Sircar's yet-untitled film, which delves into the emotional journey of a father and daughter rediscovering and embracing their bond amidst life's twists, is scheduled for a Prime Video release after its theatrical debut. The cast features Abhishek Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Ahilya Bamroo, and Jayant Kriplani.

Among the titles slated for a Prime Video release following their theatrical screenings is Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend, which explores the consequences of insatiable desires sparked by a minor king, triggering the wrath of a chosen tribal leader.

In Stree 2, the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Stree, the town of Chanderi faces a fresh threat, compelling Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his companions to step up and safeguard the town once more.

Agastya Nanda portrays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal PVC in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, alongside Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, in a biopic depicting the heroism of the 1971 war.

Siva’s Kanguva — starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and Yogi Babu — unfolds a narrative spanning 500 years, from the 1700s to 2023, following a Hero tasked with completing an unfinished mission.

Krish Jagarlamudi’s Hari Hara Veeramallu, chronicling the tale of Veera Mallu, the outlaw who rebelled against the Mughal empire, also joins the lineup, boasting an ensemble cast including Pawan Kalyan, Nidhi Agarwal, and Bobby Deol.

Sanki, headlined by Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde, is also set to drop on the platform after theatrical release. Helmed by Adnan A Shaikh and Yasir Jah, the film is described by Prime Video as “an exhilarating journey filled with electrifying action and heart-pounding romance.”

Among the other titles dropping on Prime Video this year are Pawan Kalyan-starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh, an entertaining action drama of an honest cop against the corruption in the system.

Ram Charan’s Game Changer, the story of an honest IAS officer battling political corruption, and Nithin-starrer Thammudu, an emotional story of a brother who goes to any extent to safeguard his sister from multiple challenges, also feature in the list.

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Family Star, Anushka Shetty's Ghaati, and Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna-starrer Om Bheem Bush will also drop on the platform in 2024.

Anand Tiwari’s rib-tickling comedy Bad Newz, headlined by Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk and Neha Dhupia is among the titles coming to Prime Video. The next chapter in Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe, Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham Again, too is lined up for post-theatrical digital run on Prime Video.

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon-starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha, which are currently running in theatres, are slated to premiere on the platform soon. Kunal Khemu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express, which hits theatres on March 22, will also make its way to the platform later.
