Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury is excited about playing two characters in Hoichoi’s upcoming thriller Karagar Part 2, set to release on December 22.
At the trailer launch of the series in Kolkata on Tuesday, Chanchal said he was overwhelmed by the phenomenal response Karagar Part 1 received. “The second part of the show packs a punch. I have two very different get ups in this part. While I cannot reveal much about those characters, I can say that the audiences will love the way the story unfolds,” the actor said.
Series director Syed Ahmed Shawki, who attended the trailer launch alongside Chanchal, said he was glad to see how well the audiences across borders have loved and accepted the show. “With Karagar I wanted to tell a story that seems unbelievable on the surface but has layers of dark truth underneath,” he said.
Shawki hoped that Karagar Part 2 would give the viewers the kind of story and quality entertainment they deserve. The first season of Karagar took the viewers through a thrilling story of a mystery man who suddenly appeared in cell No. 145 after 50 years of it being empty. A quest to find the truth behind this mystery man’s identity and his purpose behind appearing in a prison cell out of the blue forms the crux of the first part.
The trailer for Karagar Part 2 picks up from where the first season ended. The trailer shows someone who looks exactly like the mystery man (Chanchal), yet very different. He is polished, well dressed, with the times, and has published a book. Two people, two garbs, two lives, yet one face —- Karagar Part 2 is bound to baffle the audience.
