Actress Ananya Panday’s Bae enjoys a fairytale romance with her boss Neel, played by Gurfateh Pirzada, in the music video of Prime Video’s Call Me Bae song Vekh Sohneyaa, dropped by record label Sony Music India on Tuesday.

The two-minute-33-second-long video opens with Bae, a privileged South Delhi girl, who moves to Mumbai after being disowned by her billionaire family. Her fashionista avatar in the video strongly resembles characters like Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) from the Canadian television sitcom Schitt's Creek and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) from the American sitcom 2 Broke Girls.

Struggling to adjust to a middle-class life in Mumbai, Bae embarks on a job hunt where she meets Neel. Their on-screen chemistry unfolds throughout the video, which culminates in Neel going down on one knee and offering Ananya a card.

The final scene suggests that the entire narrative might have been a figment of Bae’s imagination.

Composed, written and sung by Charan and Bombay The Artist, Vekh Sohneyaa is produced by Dishant.

The upcoming series, produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment, also stars Vir Das, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi and Niharika Lyra Dutt in key roles.

Call Me Bae will hit Prime Video on September 6.
