After a thundering response at the box office, SS Rajamouli’s RRR continues to receive global admiration. The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon is C. Robert Cargill, the writer of the Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer Doctor Strange.

The American screenwriter called RRR the “craziest” blockbuster he has ever seen. Cargill took to Twitter to praise the film that broke several records at the box office in India.

He wrote that he had been introduced to the blockbuster by his friends. His tweet read, “Friends came over last night to initiate me into the cult of ‘RRR’ (Rise Roar Revolt) and I’m here to report I am now fully, truly, deeply a member. This is the craziest, most sincere, weirdest blockbuster I’ve ever seen. I’m pretty sure Jess and I are watching it again this week.”

Besides being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Doctor Strange, Cargill is known for screenwriting supernatural films like Sinister and The Black Phone.

Cargill’s appreciative post comes weeks after actor-comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted about RRR. The Eternals actor shared the Netflix trailer of the movie and wrote, “If this ISN’T playing near you in IMAX then this is the next best way to watch it. F****n @RRRMovie is insane.”

RRR has clocked over Rs 1,000 crore in the global box office. It has been able to get international acclaim after premiering on Netflix. The Telugu film was noted to have been dubbed in over 50 languages including Indian regional languages and foreign languages. This has allowed the movie to reach a wide global audience, both in theatres and online.

Following the success of Baahubali: The Beginning and its sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, RRR is Rajamouli’s third consecutive blockbuster.

Starring Ram Charan as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Junior NTR as Komaram Bheem, the movie follows the fictional tale of two Indian freedom fighters in the early 20th century. Rajamouli joined the dots to create an engaging tale surrounding the undocumented period of the lives of the two very real historic characters.

The movie continued to reign as the highest-grossing Indian film till KGF: Chapter 2 surpassed it with over Rs 1,227 crore earnings at the box office.
