A two-part animated series featuring Prabhas’ Bhairava and his AI-driven sidekick Bujji will soon drop on Amazon Prime Video as a prequel to Nag Ashwin’s upcoming sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, revealed a promotional video dropped by the streamer on Monday.
The 52-second-long video begins with a group of children asking Bhairava how long they have to wait until summer is over. When Bhairava asks Bujji to give a surprise to the kids, the AI-driven device shows them a glimpse of their adventures together through animation. Bujji has been voiced by actress Keerthy Suresh.
“Surprise! surprise! Say hello to bujji & bhairava,” the streamer wrote alongside the video dropped on Instagram.
The makers of Kalki 2898 AD recently dropped a teaser of Nag Agswin’s upcoming sci-fi epic to introduce Bhairava’s robotic best friend Bujji. Bhairava’s success against antagonists in the film depends on Bujji’s guidance, much like Jennifer Lopez’s character in Netflix’s Atlas.
“A modern-day avatar of Vishnu, a Hindu god, who is believed to have descended to earth to protect the world from evil forces,” reads the official synopsis of Kalki 2898 AD on IMDb.
Apart from Prabhas, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in key roles. Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music composer of the film, while the cinematography is done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.
Filming for Kalki 2898 AD was wrapped up in March, and it is slated to arrive in theatres on June 27.
