BTS member Jimin has become the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts with his single Like Crazy debuting at number one this week, Billboard announced on Tuesday.

The song from the K-pop singer’s maiden solo album Face is also the 66th track ever to achieve the feat.

Sharing the achievement, Jimin posted a photo of the Billboard Top 10 songs with his Like Crazy at the top. The song kicked out Miley Cyrus's Flowers, which remained at number one for eight weeks. Like Crazy also surpassed chart toppers — Kill Bill by SZA and Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift — to get to the top spot.

Jimin's fellow BTS members RM and J-Hope commented purple hearts under the post, an emoji that has become associated with the South Korean band since it shot to global fame. They also reposted screenshots of Jimin’s post as their Instagram story, congratulating Jimin on his achievement.

Face made it to second spot on the Billboard's main albums chart, becoming the highest-ranking album by a South Korean solo musician. South Korean singer-songwriter RM's solo album Indigo reached the number three spot on the list in December last year.

Jimin released Face on March 24 this year. The album comprises six songs — Face-off, Interlude: Dive, Like Crazy, Alone, Set Me Free Pt.2 and Letter.
