BTS members offer their insights into their decade-long journey and celebrate the spirit of togetherness amid ups and downs in the first teaser of the eight-episode docu-series BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, which will premiere on Disney Plus on December 20.
Dropped on Thursday by the makers, the 30-second teaser traces the popular K-pop boy band throughout their 10-year-long journey. Set to a tranquil background score, it individually shows the seven band members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
In the teaser, Jin looks out at the waters while on a boat. The scene then cuts to Suga, who is wearing a cap and staring intently at his laptop. Moving away from the boat, the teaser focuses on J-Hope, wearing a jacket and mask, reclining on a bamboo chair to take a picture of the trees and the sky. The next member, Jimin, is shown away from nature as he runs on a treadmill. While RM sings into a mic in a recording studio, V and Jungkook stroll on a beach to take in the breathtaking view of the sunset.
Offering small peeks into the lives of the BTS members over the years, the teaser promises to focus on the unseen aspects of the musicians’ lives. It appears from the clip that BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will follow the growth of the band from their beginnings to what they are today.
The first two episodes of the series will premiere on December 20. After that, two more episodes will continue to be dropped every Wednesday — on December 27, January 3 and January 10.
