BTS member V is set to join his bandmates Jimin and Jungkook as a special guest in the upcoming episodes of the ongoing Disney+ travel show Are You Sure?, the streamer announced on Monday.
“V joins Jimin and Jungkook's journey! Now streaming on Disney+," Disney+ wrote on Instagram, unveiling a new poster of the show featuring the Maknaes (junior members) of BTS.
Earlier, on Friday, BigHit Entertainment dropped the latest preview teaser of the show. The video shows the Singularity singer joining the series as a guest while his track Slow Dancing plays in the background.
In the preview, Jimin and Jungkook are discussing their next travel destination when Jungkook suggests Jeju Island in South Korea, famous for its peaceful atmosphere. As they plan the trip, V unexpectedly enters, playfully announcing, "You can't go to Jeju without me." Jungkook, smiling, responds that V will be their first —and perhaps last— guest on the show.
The series, filmed before the singers enlisted in the South Korean military, features Jimin and Jungkook in three popular travel destinations — New York State, USA; Jeju Island, South Korea; and Sapporo, Japan.
The premiere episode features Jungkook finishing his New York concerts following the release of his album Golden in 2023. He then joins Jimin on a road trip where the duo set out to try American burgers, go kayaking, and enjoy camping together.
On July 19, Jimin made his solo comeback with the album MUSE. The pre-release of his Smeraldo Garden Marching Band music video featuring LOCO was dropped on June 28. The album features tracks including WHO, Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Slow Dance featuring Sofia Carson, Be Mine, and Closer Than This. Jimin also released the music video of WHO on July 19.
Jungkook released his song Never Let Go as a tribute to the ARMY (BTS fanbase) before the band’s 11th anniversary, celebrated on June 13. Jin, who was discharged from the military on June 12, hosted the show and greeted the fans on behalf of the entire band.
V last appeared in FRI(END)S, which came out on March 15. He also appeared in the music video for K-Pop artist IU's single Love Wins All, released on January 24.
Are You Sure? will have eight episodes in total, with the first two already out on August 8. New episodes will drop every Thursday on Disney+ Hotstar.
