Helmed by Lee Seok Jun and produced by HYBE, RM: Right People, Wrong Place captures RM’s compelling eight-month-long journey leading up to his military enlistment in November 2023. The film delves into the artiste’s creative process, from the release of his debut solo album Indigo in December 2022 to the making of his second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, which dropped in May.

The trailer is a compilation of behind-the-scenes moments featuring the Come Back to Me artiste during rehearsals, recording sessions and shooting scenes from his last album, giving an insight into his diverse settings and creative collaborations. The documentary promises a nuanced exploration of RM's identity, delving into his role as the leader of BTS and offering a deeper understanding of his artistry and persona.

RM: Right People, Wrong Place will be screened at the Busan Cinema Center's outdoor theatre, making it the first K-pop documentary to be selected for the prestigious Open Cinema section. The documentary is set for global theatrical release later this year.

RM’s album Right Place, Wrong Person debuted strong, topping Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart and reaching No. 5 on the Billboard 200. The album also dominated the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, with six tracks in the top 10.

Other members of BTS— Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — are currently serving in the South Korean Military and are likely to make a comeback in 2025.
