BTS member Jimin was “lost and depressed” while shooting for his popular song Set Me Free Pt.2, the K-pop singer said in a YouTube video recently, revealing that his limited calorie intake to maintain a certain weight worsened his depression during the period.
“Set Me Free Pt.2 was created when I was feeling lost and depressed. I was determined to overcome those feelings and this song conveys those emotions. I think I wanted to express that emotion in the choreography as well. So the choreography turned out to be very intense like this. But the people I'm working with are doing a great job. I am the only one I should be worried about,” Jimin says in the video, shared by BangtanTV on YouTube on March 21.
In the eleven-minute-31-second-long behind-the-scenes video, titled Set Me Free Pt.2 MV Shoot Sketch, the singer also talks about the dishes that he was craving while shooting for Set Me Free Pt.2. A visibly slim Jimin can also be seen with background dancers, discussing the choreography for the music video.
Jimin also speaks candidly about writing down the name of the dishes he was craving before going to bed every night. “It's not easy keeping my weight within the 50kg range, but I’m kind of getting used to it now. Every night, I write down what I want to eat before going to bed. Yesterday I wrote, Kalguksu, Daechang, and Ramyeon. I was craving something spicy. It's been so long since I’ve had Tteokbokki too. Kalguksu with kimchi sounds really amazing,” he says in the video, shot at the time he was filming for the music video of Set Me Free Pt.2.
