Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is set to headline Lisa Mulcahy’s drama-thriller Love And War, the 37-year-old actress confirmed on Tuesday, sharing a report by the US-based entertainment magazine Deadline on Instagram.

The project is inspired by Louise Monaghan's book Stolen: Escape From Syria, which follows Irish woman Sarah O’Meara’s September 2011 quest to rescue her six-year-old daughter, who was abducted by her father and taken to his native land Syria, a country in the grip of civil war. O’Meara’s challenges include outwitting her ex-husband in addition to trying to survive the war itself.

The first four episodes of Bridgerton Season 3 dropped on Netflix on May 16. In the series, Coughlan also moonlights as infamous gossip writer Lady Whistledown.
