Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, has entered its second week on a high note. The film had a stellar opening weekend despite a wave of scathing reviews soon after its release on September 9.

Following a string of box-office duds this year, Bollywood has finally heaved a sigh of relief, thanks to Brahmastra’s performance. Although there was a decline in the film’s collections during the weekdays, the visual spectacle also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Shah Rukh Khan and Mouni Roy seems to be gaining momentum in the second week.

After a slump on Thursday, Brahmastra’s collection once again crossed Rs 10 crore in India on Friday. As per early estimates, the film earned Rs 10.30 crore on the eighth day. The total collection has exceeded Rs 183 crore. These are preliminary figures. It is expected that the film will consolidate its earnings in the second weekend also.

Brahmastra has created a buzz overseas too, touching the Rs 300-crore mark worldwide on September 15. According to trade analysts, Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy drama can gross another Rs 40 crore in the second weekend.
