With 100 days to release, team Brahmastra – director Ayan Mukerji, actor Ranbir Kapoor and presenter SS Rajamouli – released the first look of the cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy from the much-anticipated fantasy adventure at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
The teaser launch coincided with the ninth anniversary of Ayan’s 2013 blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Over the last 10 years, he had pursued the vision of Brahmastra. “There is nothing like Brahmastra anywhere in the world,” he added.
Alia also sent out a video message and cheered her team while shooting Netflix film Heart of Stone in London
Set to a rousing background score and loaded with VFX, the 32-second-long clip teases the world of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The teaser features high-octane action sequences as well as emotional moments.
While details of Bachchan and Akkieneni's characters are under wraps, it is known that Roy, popularly known for her TV show Naagin and films like “Gold” and “Made in China”, will be playing the antagonist in the film.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, a part of a planned trilogy, will release theatrically in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on September 9, 2022. It is a joint production of Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures.
