Sidharth Malhotra is my favourite action star. He has got the physique, charisma and the look of a tough guy. He takes chances, he sweats blood and bites the bullet hard without complaining. He saves, he shoots and he runs across the screen like someone who can outsmart the villains. (Who is your favourite action star in today’s Bollywood... March 16)
Kousik Majumdar
My favourite action star in today’s Bollywood is certainly Shah Rukh Khan. He is just not today’s action star; he was, is and will be the brightest star in the action galaxy. He is the baap of all action stars.
Though SRK gained stardom as a romantic hero, Jawan and Pathaan, stamped his position at the top of the action genre. Main Hoon Na should not be forgotten as a fine film in this category as well. True that he has not had many action films to his name but as they say, it is the quality, not the quantity that matters. So yes, the romantic Raj/Rahul is my favourite action star in B-town.
Ushree
Vidyut Jammwal is my favourite action star of present-day Bollywood. His films like Crakk, Commando, IB71, Khuda Haafiz and others bear testimony to his prowess in the action department. His fitness and training in martial arts have enabled him to reach such a height. His spontaneity in action scenes is worth watching.
Partha Banerjee
Hrithik Roshan is the name that instantly crossed my mind when I pondered about my favourite action star in today’s Bollywood. From the Krrish franchise to the recently released hit Fighter, he has never ceased to impress the audience with his impeccable action sequences in these hardcore action films and established himself as one of the most sought-after action stars in Bollywood. In Krrish and Krrish 3, Hrithik perfectly pulled off the role of a superhuman who is always ready to come to the rescue of those in danger. In Bang Bang, which is the remake of Tom Cruise’s Knight and Day, he showcased some enthralling action sequences that made me think no one could be the desi Cruise better than him. In War and Fighter, Hrithik pulled off jaw-dropping action scenes with elegance and aplomb. Plus, his dancing skills and Greek god-like physique make him complete as a perfect action star.
Sikrity Ghosh
As a cinema aficionado, I believe a suave, muscular hero with impeccable combat capabilities breathes new life into an action film, making it a riveting joyride. One such action star in today’s Bollywood is Tiger Shroff. Known for his chiselled physique, unkempt stubble and charming eyes, Tiger has taken the much-loved action genre to a new peak with his mind-boggling stunts and action sequences. From his debut film Heropanti to his career’s highest-grosser film War, his proficiency as a martial artist enables him to leave a lasting impression on viewers. His workout videos on his social media handles not only testify to his unceasing passion for the martial arts but also inspires youngsters to take up a healthy lifestyle. No wonder his agility as a dancer empowers him to pull off eye-catching dance moves in style. His crunchy elbow strikes and kicks never fail to arouse an adrenaline rush within me. Eagerly waiting for a big hit from him.
Aayman Anwar Ali
My favourite action star in today’s Bollywood is Akshay Kumar. He is exceptional when it comes to action roles. In his career spanning decades, Akshay has gifted action-movie lovers a number of high-octane, action-packed blockbusters. The handsome actor always prefers to do his stunts on his own and tries to avoid taking the help of a body double. Akshay has won my heart with his daring, dangerous and risky action sequences. According to me, Mr. Khiladi is the best action hero in Hindi movies of all time.
