Film producer Nitin Manmohan, known for movies such as Bol Radha Bol and Laadla, passed away on Thursday at a hospital here, his daughter Prachi said.
The producer was 62 and is survived by wife and daughter.
Nitin was undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Navi Mumbai after he had a cardiac arrest on December 3. He was battling several health complications and died around 10am on Thursday, his daughter said.
“He had a cardiac arrest on December 3 and since had been on a ventilator. When he was brought to the hospital, the doctors revived him,” she also said.
“No oxygen and blood supply in the brain and other parts of the body led to some damage and caused abnormal brain signals. Slowly, his condition started deteriorating. He left us today at around 10am,” she added.
Nitin is the son of late actor Manmohan, who featured in films such as Brahmachari, Gumnaam and Naya Zamana.
He had produced films like Bol Radha Bol, Laadla, Army, Shool, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Dus, Chal Mere Bhai, Maha-Sangram, Nayee Padosan, Insaaf, Gali Gali Chor Hai, Dil Maange More, Deewangi, Adharm, Eena Meena Deeka, Tathastu, Tango Charlie and Sab Kushal Mangal.
