Actress Solanki Roy plays a woman trapped inside a television set in the teaser of Debaloy Bhattacharya’s new Hoichoi series Boka Bakshote Bondi, also starring Krishnakoli actor Neel Bhattacharya.

Dropped by the streamer on Monday, the trailer begins with a woman watching a Bengali daily soap on her television set. However, the television screen flickers at an interesting point in the narrative. Disappointed, the woman tries to turn off the device. At this point, Solanki suddenly reappears on screen, urging the woman to help her. “I am stuck inside this device,” claims Solanki. “I am not Sondhamoni from the serial but Aupala,” adds the actress’s character, who is desperate to break free from her captivity.

“Is this a series within a serial or a serial within a series? It's time to be stuck inside a stupid box,” the streamer wrote on X in Bengali, sharing the teaser video.

Streaming platform Hoichoi recently shared a string of behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of Boka Bakshote Bondi. “A mega serial is on its way. Are you all ready?” the makers captioned their post on Instagram.

The pictures show Solanki sitting on a wheelchair. A number of photos show director Debaloy Bhattacharya guiding the actors during the filming of various scenes. One of the pictures also shows Neel embracing Solanki.

Boka Bakshote Bondi is slated to premiere on Hoichoi in June.

Solanki made her Bengali-film debut with Baba Baby O (2022) and later appeared in Shohorer Ushnotomo Din E (2023). She has appeared in a number of Hoichoi series, including Dhanbad Blues (2018), Paap (2019), Montu Pilot (2019) and Saarey Shaitirish (2023).

Neel last appeared in the Bengali television series Bangla Medium which premiered on Star Jalsha on December 12, 2022 and is also digitally available on Disney+ Hotstar.
