The anticipation for Durga Puja theatrical releases this year has heated up with the second teaser drop for Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Bohurupi, which will face-off against Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka. Both Bohurupi and Tekka will release in theatres on October 8. While the Bohurupi teaser dropped last evening gives us a glimpse into the action chase thriller, a character poster of Tekka released today reveals the first look of Swastika Mukherjee’s “queen of the boardroom”.

Starring Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee and Shiboprosad, Bohurupi revolves around a dacoit adept at changing his looks, who loots banks across Bengal. The one-minute-45-second long teaser introduces SI Sumanta Ghoshal recounting the biggest failure of his career.

The teaser also offers a glimpse into the life of Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s character, Bikram, who leads a seemingly unremarkable existence. However, Bikram's ability to adapt and transform like a chameleon soon makes him the target of a relentless pursuit by Sumanta.

Koushani plays Bikram’s wife in Bohurupi, while Ritabhari plays Sumanta’s love interest.

On the other hand, Swastika’s character poster from Tekka provides a close look at her character named Ira, who is seen in a grey sari with red borders and holding a teddy bear in her hand. Her brown hair is also a standout.

Tekka is headlined by Tollywood star Dev in his second collaboration with Srijit after Zulfiqar (2016). Earlier this month, the first-look poster for Rukmini Maitra’s character Maya was revealed by the makers.
