Windows Production House has been making waves. Their recent release, Bohurupi (directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee) shattered box office records, becoming one of the biggest blockbusters of Bengali cinema. Now, their upcoming film, Aamar Boss, has been selected for the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Bohurupi, an action-thriller packed with drama, music, romance and a solid storyline, released during Durga Puja and captivated audiences across the country. Based on a true story, the film’s stellar performances and strong emotional connect resonated with viewers of all ages.
Aamar Boss, a poignant emotional drama starring Shiboprosad Mukherjee and legendary actress Rakhee, has been selected for the ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal at the 55th IFFI. This prestigious award recognises films that promote peace, tolerance, and social harmony.
Windows Production House, under the leadership of Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, has consistently delivered quality content that resonates with audiences. Aamar Boss is expected to continue this legacy, exploring themes of love, loss, and human connection. The film will have a final date by next week.
Shiboprosad Mukherjee was beaming with happiness as he spoke to t2 over a phone call recently. “Bohurupi has broken myths like Bengali Puja films don’t work after the festivities are over. Bohurupi has become the highest-grossing Bengali film of all time released during Puja. Aamar Boss has now been selected by IFFI. All of it feels like a dream! Aamar Boss will soon have a release date and the highlight is Rakheedi. People have a huge interest in seeing the veteran actor on screen after over two decades. I feel very fortunate with everything that has been happening and I feel it wouldn’t have been possible without my parents’ blessings and the incredible love of the audience.”
