Aamir, Ranveer and Kareena Kapoor wished Salman in a video posted by the Tiger actor’s production banner. When I see Salman Khan walking into a room, it feels like a superstar is coming,” Aamir says in the video, while Kareena, who worked with Salman in the 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, simply declares that she is a huge fan.

Appearing in the video, Ranveer praises Salman for his “euphoric” presence and the way he flaunts his muscles in action movies. “There is only one Tiger in the industry and that's Salman Khan,” says Tiger at the end of the clip.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, too, shared a long note on Instagram on Salman’s birthday, narrating how the Bollywood star had agreed to do a small role in his debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998 without even hearing the script properly. “25 years ago I was at a party lost and confused…. A massive movie star came upto me and asked me why I was standing by a corner … I told him I had been to several actors for a part but was politely rejected,” the 51-year-old filmmaker wrote.

Karan mentioned that Salman had offered him water after seeing how parched he was and then told him that he wanted the part. “I was perplexed and said but ‘you are in the second half’ you haven’t heard it? He said ‘I love your father and my sister will kill me if I don’t do this movie’ and that’s how Salman Khan was in KKHH,” Karan revealed.

The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director concluded his note by wishing Salman on his birthday and also hinting at a new project that they might be collaborating on since the release of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 25 years ago. “Also 25 years later we will finally have a story to tell again… not saying any more than that 😉 happy happy birthday ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Riteish Deshmukh took to social media to wish Salman, dropping a picture of himself with wife Genelia and the Bollywood star. “Bhau… the man who I love unconditionally.@beingsalmankhan. May your life be filled with love, laughter and happiness. On your birthday today and every other day I only wish the best for you…. #happybirthdaysalmankhan,” he wrote.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who directed Salman in his 2008 drama Yuvvraaj alongside Katrina Kaif and Anil Kapoor, praised Salman as a human being. “SALMAN KHAN is not only a charismatic film star but is also One of the finest human being I have found in my life,” he wrote, adding how he has seen the actor genuinely caring for his family, friends, society and nation even “at his own cost”.
