Sonam Kapoor plays a visually-impaired police officer caught in a cat-and-mouse chase with a serial killer in the first teaser of the Shome Makhija-directed thriller Blind, which marks the 38-year-old’s return to acting after a four-year gap.
The 40-second teaser, released by the makers on Tuesday, shows Sonam’s Gia getting into a taxi driven by a serial killer. After grappling with the taxi driver-serial killer, Gia somehow manages to save herself and register her statement at a police station.
Her statement opens an investigation that starts a cat-and-mouse chase between Gia and the serial killer (played by Purab Kohli) as the two try to catch each other before it is too late.
The gritty crime drama is an adaptation of the 2011 South Korean film of the same name.
Co-produced by Sujoy Ghosh, the film marks Sonam's return to movies four years after The Zoya Factor (2019). Besides Sonam and Purab, Blind also stars Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey. The film, which has been shot in Scotland’s Glasgow, is set for a July 7 premiere on Jio Cinema.
