Blackpink member Lisa is set to collaborate with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalia for a single, New Woman, to drop on August 16 in India, she announced on Tuesday.

“NEW WOMAN @rosalia.vt 08/15 @ 8PM EST 08/16 @ 9AM KST,” wrote the K-Pop singer on Instagram, unveiling a poster featuring the two singers.

The cover art features the two artists gazing into the camera. While Rosalía dons a vibrant pink furry coat, Lisa sports a black leather corset and jacket.

Earlier, Lisa teased the announcement with an intriguing poster, showcasing the single's title and Rosalía's feature credit. The poster's cryptic tagline reads, "Pulling up fresh face, brand new dia." The poster also cleverly incorporates the artists' initials, LA_A for Lisa and OS_LI for Rosalía.

The singer earlier released her single ROCKSTAR on June 28, marking the first official release from her record label LLOUD. The music video has garnered over 100 million views in two weeks and reached 100 million streams on Spotify, emerging the fastest K-pop female soloist track to achieve this milestone.

ROCKSTAR is nominated for the MTV Video Music Award (VMA) 2024 under the categories– Best K-Pop, Best Editing, Best Choreography and Best Art Direction.

Lisa made history as the first female solo artist to win the best K-pop artist title at the MTV VMA in 2022 for her music video Lalisa. She released her debut single album Lalisa in September 2021, becoming the first female K-pop artist to sell 7,36,000 records in its first week in South Korea.

All the members of Blackpink — Lisa, Jennie, Rose and Jisoo — last appeared together in the music video of their 2022 single Shut Down, which went on to top the Billboard Global 200.
