Blackpink member Jennie is set to make a special appearance on Disney Plus variety show My name is Gabriel, the streamer announced on Monday alongside a poster.
“Jennie not a Global Artist. What if you get to live someone else's life? Jenny will live as Maria in Italy Check it out on Disney+,” reads the translation of Disney Plus Korea’s post on Instagram.
My Name is Gabriel features former Korean celebrities who experience the everyday lives of ordinary people across the globe. Each contestant adopts a new identity and spends 72 hours living and interacting with locals.
Jennie will reportedly pose as a 96-year-old Italian farmhouse owner for 72 hours, participating in various activities such as catering to guests and honing her cooking skills.
The k-pop singer is set to appear on episodes 13 and 14, which will be released on September 27 and October 4, respectively.
Reports of Jennie appearing on the show starring Park Bo Gum and Ji Chang Wook first emerged in March. However, her agency stated that she had declined the offer to focus on her solo music.
Along with her fellow Blackpink band member Lisa, Jennie is also reportedly gearing up for a major comeback with a solo album under her own label OA this year. After her 2018 debut solo album SOLO, Jennie followed up with a special single titled You & Me last year.
