The official X page of Blackpink announced the film last month. “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS

Limited screenings beginning July 31, 2024. Experience more in special formats ScreenX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX where available. Tickets on sale worldwide June 27 / South Korea July 17,” they wrote.

The official trailer of the film showcases the four Blackpink members — Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo — performing an electrifying medley of their hits from their 2022 album Born Pink.

The film will include footage from the group’s performances in various cities across the world as well as in Seoul’s Gocheok Dome. According to Billboard, the movie will feature “the tour’s iconic ‘Hanok’ set — which mimicked the look of a traditional Korean house”.

Limited screening for the film will begin on July 31, 2024 ahead of Blackpink’s eighth debut anniversary.

The Born Pink World Tour was Blackpink’s second global concert tour following the release of their second studio album of the same name in 2022. Spanning 66 concerts across 22 countries, the tour kicked off in Seoul on October 15, 2022, and wrapped up on September 17.

The tour amassed USD 148.3 million from 29 shows and ranked number 10 on Billboard’s 2023 Year End Top 40 Tours chart. With over 1.8 million fans attending the concerts, it emerged as the highest-grossing concert tour by a female group and the most-attended K-pop girl group tour ever.
