The singer also shared a message on her broadcast channel for her fans on Wednesday about her upcoming release. “Vampirehollie..?!” she wrote.

Marking her 27th birthday on February 11, Rose teased her upcoming solo single by sharing a 20-second clip of the unreleased track. She recently released a cover of Coldplay's iconic hit Viva La Vida (2008) for the trailer and finale of the AppleTV+ South Korean series Pachinko 2 starring Lee Min Ho, Kim Min Ha, and Steve Noh.

Following her departure from YG Entertainment alongside fellow band members Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo, Rose signed an exclusive contract with The Black Label on June 18 for her solo endeavours apart from Atlantic Records. She, however, will continue participating in group activities with Blackpink under YG Entertainment.

Rose’s last release was her debut single album R in March 2021. The title single On the Ground broke records as the highest-charting song by a female K-pop solo artiste on the US Billboard Hot 100, Canadian Hot 100, and UK Singles Chart. She also became the first artiste to top the Billboard Global 200 as a solo singer and group member. Her music video holds YouTube's record for most views in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artiste.

All the members of Blackpink — Lisa, Jennie, Rose and Jisoo — last appeared together in the music video of their 2022 single Shut Down, which went on to top the Billboard Global 200.
